After this Tragedy, the Nascent Recruitment Crisis in the Armed Forces will rapidly escalate. The signs of this are already beginning to show: A full on purge of the ideological Left is taking place in the various branches. Self-Immolation is something that takes hold in a society that is at the end of its Cultural & Moral development. There is not much left for the Empire of Lies, & it may soon find out that Unlike DoorDash Drivers who can be called on the fly... servicemen will not Fight for an Entity which has 'merely money' & nothing much else (especially in the values department).

The final letter he left with his friends made it clear he intended this to be his final act. Also a review of the statements made by his friends give us no cause to believe he was mentally unstable. In fact the evidence, to the contrary, suggests a very thoughtful, kind person. As I document and my peace, he made provisions for his cat and to see the remainder of his money given to a charity. Many of us struggle to make sense of such and act, which is why I found it helpful turn to a letter written by the Buddhist monk Thich Nhat Hanh, address to Reverend Dr Martin Luther King jr, in 1963, in which he explains what it meant for the Buddhist monks of Vietnam to self-immolate: "Self-Sacrifice is Not Suicide: Understanding Aaron Bushnell's Self-Immolation with Help from the Humanities"

Even if you are correct about the individual in all that you said, the point I am making is a wider societal one, which is simply going to happen given the several millennia history of Self-Immolations & how Civilizations & wider societies Behave when such behaviour takes root. 'Individual Madness' (even if you are correct here) doesn't stop said patterns.

He wanted to embody Christ in his own flesh, to die for our sins.

So he did.

More the idea that anyone could die for the sins of anyone else in the way Christ did.

Looks like I started something, although the thought may have occured to him. Who really knows? I have received comments that I am crazy.

My wife would occasionally agree.

Isn’t the notion that Jesus, a prophet of God, died for the sins of any other human being, let alone billions, blasphemy itself?

Only if you mistakenly think Jesus was only a prophet.

Mental illness. It seems to me that the further we get from our humanness. the more mentally ill we become. But who are the mentally ill? Those who can watch people being slaughtered and children starving in front of their own eyes and in some cases inflict horrors on others in the name of patriotism, essentially adapting to being inhumane. Or those who break the further they become removed from being humane.

Thank you. So many of my friends don’t get this. I shake my head in disbelief, as we all go back to the Vietnam era when the Buddhist monks did this in the streets of Saigon.

He was a soldier in the army of humanist principles. May he rest in peace.

This is a very nice tribute. As an American veteran, I thank you. I also hope the Bushnell family and Aaron's church see this, as I'm sure they would take it in the spirit in which you intended it.

He was an human in this inhumane world. He showed us what empathy is. He felt the pain of Palestinians in his heart. I read about his will in which he wanted to donate all his savings for Palestinian childrens. No one should ever have to go through this, ever. God I hate myself, for he did more for Palestinians which I can never even imagine to do.

There's no reason to resort to self-hatred. It is enough simply to be inspired and to do our very best as living breathing human beings, caring his best intentions forward

What a complete crock of shit. He was a closet tranny who needed attention. Why didn’t he make an impact and try to burn someone who actually supported the Jews? Or why not just quit and go fight for Palestine? His family is probably devastated, but they’ll soon be embarrassed that their son was so mentally unstable. You people martyring him are fools.

I’m not saying there’s something wrong with being trans, there’s is something wrong with being trans. 20 years ago you freaks hid in quiet places where you belonged. Now the communists need you for a few years to destabilize everything. One way or another you’re all gonna get made examples of. The right knows you’re mentally unfit and the left uses you. No wonder the suicide rates for you freaks are out of control. Don’t take my word for it, look it up. And ohh, 4 tranny psychos have been mass shooters in the last year. Yeah, normal! I wouldn’t piss on you if you were on fire freak.

Thank you! By the way, EVERYBODY DRINK THEIR OWN URINE IN SOLIDARITY WITH GAZA! And EVEN RECORD A VIDEO OF YOURSELF DOING SO, if you would like! Sound extreme? Not nearly as extreme as what this young man did! In fact, IF ONLY HE had known that he could do so! LET US DO IT IN HIS PLACE! Look up John Turmel's "Pee Pee Power to Poor People"! LET'S DO THIS! The people of Gaza have been drinking DIRTY SALTY WATER! They need to know that URINE IS CLEAN AND STERILE, AND THE WATER OF LIFE! Also LOOK UP John Armstrong's "The Water of Life!"

After this happened more military active and veterans burned their uniforms in unity with Aaron and his stance against genocide. I pray that his family's hearts will have ease from this tragedy. That I am deeply saddened that he felt this was the only way his voice could be heard. I will never forget this fallen soldier even though it wasn't on what they would call a battlefield, I call it a battlefield, a battlefield for fighting and standing up for morals and integrity and I salute him and his family 🫡🇵🇸🇺🇸
